While I enjoy reading a plethora of different genres, mystery became my when-in-doubt favorite ever since my aunt gave me my first Nancy Drew book in the fourth grade.
So, this month between getting my vintage jewelry shop on Etsy, TwinklingStarVintage, ready for the holiday rush, making progress on my novel writing (yes, a mystery), and taking a mystery mastermind class series along with four other writers from award winning mystery writer and teacher, Jane K. Cleland, I wanted a story that entertained and pulled me into the mental game of trying to figure out the clues and whodunit.
Laurie R. King’s Back to the Garden gave me all that and more. The story, centered on a fifty-year-old cold case from the 1960s hippie commune era was a page turner. If you like mysteries with interesting twists and turns, I'd recommend Back to the Garden.
