We Solve Murders: My Favorite Mystery for January

Nan Russell

Having read Richard Osman’s The Thursday Murder Club series, I was eager to be entertained by his latest, We Solve Murders. And entertained I was, enhanced by listening to the audio version narrated by one of my favorite English actresses, Nicola Walker, who starred in one of my favorite English crime series, Unforgotten.

We Solve Murders begins a new series involving a crime solving duo of a retired detective and his private security daughter-in-law. The story is full of twists and turns, lightly peppered with humor, and engulfed in globe-hopping thriller elements which become complicated.

Like many mysteries and thrillers, the story requires the ability to suspend disbelief at times. While I didn’t fall in love with the characters, I did enjoy their journey to outsmart a ruthless killer. If you like unusual mysteries, you might want to give We Solve Murders a read.
